The rate
You are billed for talk time, by the minute, at the rate set by the model and the voice you picked for that agent. These are the same rates quoted on Australian AI voice agents, the Retell comparison and the Bland comparison.

A number is a monthly rental and sits outside the minute rate. Buy it in the workspace, where the price is shown first, or forward the number your customers already ring.

The rate follows the voice. A standard Cartesia voice is A$0.25 a minute and a premium ElevenLabs voice A$0.40 on the same model, and you set both per agent.

Adding a card mints an A$20 credit that lasts ninety days and draws down against metered usage, so the first calls come out of it.
